The membership secretary shall:
- act as the membership chairperson
- write such letters as may be authorized by the association;
- maintain a membership list as required by the Virginia PTA/PTSA;
- perform other delegated duties as assigned.

Membership in the PTA is $10 for one parent from a family or $15 for two parents from a family.
Note that membership in the PTA is renewed annually.
