2nd Discussion Group/Coffee Tuesday, Nov. 24, 9 – 10 a.m., library
Great news! Those of you who missed the RA presentation, you have a second chance! The Parent Education and Resources committee presents our 2nd morning discussion group. This month we will use the time to follow up on the Nov. 5th Relational Aggression program. About 30 parents participated at our 1st coffee, and we hope to see that many this month, too.
Katie Griffith will attend and introduce our topic - Relational Aggression - but this is not a presentation. The Discussion Group/Coffee is an opportunity for parents to communicate with each other in small groups about challenges and successes they may be having. It’s a chance for us to learn from each other (even if it’s only to learn that we’re not alone)!
Please note that the time is from 9 – 10 a.m. This is a change from last month. Sarah Provence, our librarian, is very generously letting us use her beautiful library, and this is the only time available.
Please come and share your ideas with us as you enjoy Starbucks coffee and a morning munchie. We hope to see you there!
Parent Networking Library
Did you know that the PTA has established and maintains an extensive library of parenting and education books for YOUR use? This library is kept in the PTA room, which is located on the main hallway between the front entrance and the cafeteria. Books can be checked out on the honor system. Just find a book that interests you, and fill out the appropriate card. We ask that you try to return the book within three weeks. Specific books in the collection will be highlighted in future issues of The Churchill Chatter. In the meantime, why don’t you peruse the selection the next time that you’re visiting the school?
